The Wedding of
Brenton Chapman & Kelly Kresconko
OUR JOURNEY

A CHRISTMAS STORY
Christmas during the pandemic was a little lonely.
In two different cities, we were both kind of bummed with not much to do and nobody to exchange gifts with. So after our first conversation on Facebook we came up with a solution that made us both excited;
we'd make and send each other presents.
Our first time video chatting was on Christmas Eve 2021 and we opened our gifts together, watched the snow fall, and fell in love.
By the time the next Christmas was coming around, we were living together in Buffalo and ready to make things official for the rest of our lives. Brenton made a plan to propose at the family Christmas Eve party, but Mother Nature had other ideas. Buffalo was hit with the worst snowstorm in 30 years. After days without power, waiting out the storm in a neighboring building's hallway, we returned home and collapsed exhausted in front of the tree. Having survived a calamity we knew there was nothing we couldn't face together, and got engaged with our cats as witnesses.
Christmas is a time of love and family, and has been such an important time of year in our relationship. Just before Christmas 2024, please come celebrate our love with us and join us for our wedding!

FAQ
Q: Is there a dress code?
A: Yes! Dress “to the nines!” The dress code is formal/ black tie optional. This is the most important day of our lives and we LOVE creating ambiance! We believe each person is a work of art. One thing that brought us together was our love of carefully constructing outfits for special events and showing off our creation when its time for the big event. We strongly prefer that you wear black and or red to help join in the fun if possible! For obvious reasons, please don’t wear white.
Q: What if I don’t adhere to the dress code?
A: Nothing, but you won't be as cool or fun
Q: Do you have a block of rooms reserved?
A: No, but the bride, groom and some of the wedding party will be staying all weekend. Feel free to book a room overnight if you’re so inclined. Roycroft is doing a reservation -only brunch the morning after the wedding and they said it books months in advance, so get on it!
Accommodations at the Roycroft:
Q: What’s the theme of the wedding?
A: Magical Dark Christmas. We love the idea of throwing fancy Balls as depicted in shows like “The Gilded Age,” So some inspiration will be drawn from there.
Q: What are the colors?
A: Primarily black and burgandy, with hints of white and silver to pay homage to snow
Q: Why is your wedding so close to Christmas, people have other things to do
A: Christmas is a special time for us. We met and got together on christmas, and our proposal was on christmas as well! We love to share the spirit of the yuletide season with others. We love the art of gift giving and making memories! We’re sending save the dates six months in advance so people have ample time to plan, or decide to forego this event altogether if it presents hardship. We understand and want everyone healthy and happy!
Q: Will there be kids there?
A: Yes, 5 kids are invited
Q: Can I bring my significant other/ boyfriend/girlfriend/ friend of mine with me?
A: Possibly, but definitely check with us first if they aren’t explicitly listed on the invitation.! This is a plated, sit down dinner, so it's important that we have an accurate account of guests. If you want to bring someone who wasn’t specifically invited (or if your invitation does not clearly state “ Your Name and Guest” a wait list will be started on a first come, first served basis. The room has a capacity we aren’t allowed to go over.
Q: Open bar?
A: Five hours baby! Make sure you get our money's worth and keep em busy! Hehe. Enjoy a selection of beer and wine with simple mixed drinks. Please note that Roycroft observes a “no shot” policy.
Q: Buffalo in December? What if the weather is bad?
A: Funny story. We consulted the farmers almanac and historically it hasn't snowed on December 14 in YEARS! The wedding is to take place in a cozy Inn with beautiful fireplaces. It will be beautifully decorated for christmas so if we get snowed in, what better place?
Q: Can you accommodate my special seating request?
A: Most likely, if you RSVP with the necessary information early enough
Q: Do you have a registry?
A: Please see below, we are requesting those who wish to give a gift select an option to help fund our honeymoon!
Q: why did you pick the Roycroft?
A: It's beautiful, dark, and cozy
Q: What type of ceremony should we expect?
A: One that we are writing ourselves and will last about 15 minutes
